• Hue excellently ranked first in handling violations of wildlife consumption with 100% of establishments found to be violating and successfully handled. Ho Chi Minh City handled 82% of the violations, Ba Ria - Vung Tau reached 69%, Hanoi 65% and Khanh Hoa 60%. Meanwhile, law enforcement agencies in Can Tho have not been highly effective in handling violations of wildlife, only stopping at 44%.

From this assessment, ENV wants the People's Committees of other localities, especially Can Tho to continue to (1) enhance the effectiveness of the handling of signs of wildlife violations in the area; (2) regularly inspecting and supervising all business establishments in the area to ensure that there are no violations or recurring violations. Since 2013, ENV has developed and implemented a program to assess the prevalence of wildlife violations in major cities in Vietnam (42 districts in 9 provinces and cities nationwide, including Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Quang Tri, Thua Thien Hue, Nghe An, Can Tho, Khanh Hoa, Ba Ria - Vung Tau and Da Nang) as well as assessing the effectiveness of agencies' handling of violations. function.
